National Automatic Merchandising Association Launches National Coffee Service Month In September

Aug. 17, 2012

The National Automatic Merchandising Association (NAMA) announced the National Coffee Service Month in September. For the first time, beginning Sept. 1, 2012 and taking place throughout the month, NAMA coffee, tea and water (CTW) operators will mark the milestone with special events at customer locations throughout the country.

“Our goal as a NAMA committee is to support our fellow coffee service operators. This year, we’re debuting National Coffee Service Month to deliver a fun, caffeinated point-in-time to jump start marketing activities designed to build awareness that providing coffee service is a measurable employee benefit that maximizes productivity,” said Howard Chapman, NAMA coffee committee chairman and a member of the NAMA board of directors in a prepared statement.

“Most importantly, coffee service is a segment of our business that offers great potential and we want to provide tools to help our operators,” he added. “To that end, we have sent members a National Coffee Service Month Toolkit – and have made an electronic copy available on our member-only website -- brimming with ideas and suggestions to help them implement a marketing campaign that works best for their service area and their customers.

“September is the perfect month to celebrate office coffee. We are also building on existing efforts, including National Coffee Week and National Coffee Day, which take place in September as well,” he continued. “From small customer appreciation events to fund-raising, we encourage operators to leverage the opportunities that are possible by working together as a group of business owners to build awareness of coffee service and ultimately, drive sales.”
