The California Automatic Vendors Council (CAVC) will hold a board of directors meeting, education sessions and networking event on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at the Oakland Hilton, 1 Hagenberger Road, Oakland, Calif.

The California Automatic Vendors Council (CAVC) will hold a board of directors meeting, education sessions and networking event on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at the Oakland Hilton, 1 Hagenberger Road, Oakland, Calif. The meeting will be from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., followed by lunch until 1 p.m. Education sessions from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. will be:

  • Healthy vending; how to promote healthy vending programs, tools available including National Automatic Merchandising Association Fit Pick program, and legislative issues pending to further restrict vending.
  • The process and importance of proper point-of-use water cooler sanitation, including  materials and techniques used in the shop and in the field to ensure customer satisfaction and equipment performance.
  • Leak detection and prevention led by Butch Winkler of Holiday House Distributors and Jeff Monks of Eltek.

A networking event will be held from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
