The Maryland/D.C. Vending Association issued an alert about a recent series of vending machine vandalism and theft in the Route 301 corridor in Southern Maryland. Machines and bill validators have been damaged and destroyed, and cash has been taken. The most recent incident occurred on Sunday night, May 13, 2012. It is believed that individuals involved, in possession of crowbars and sledgehammers, were apprehended. The location owner plans to press charges.
