Connecticut Vending Association Successfully Lobbies To Keep Connecticut Rest Stops Open
All rest stops in Connecticut will remain open, thanks to lobbying by the Connecticut Vending Association (CVA) in conjunction with other industries. CVA, an affiliate association of the National Automatic Merchandising Association (NAMA), and their lobbyist, Dolores Malloy, along with representatives of several other industries, including trucking and tourism, were able to convince the governor to reverse a provision to close rest stops. For more information, contact Pam Gilbert of the NAMA at [email protected] .
Editor’s Insight: Congratulations to the Connecticut Vending Association for helping to make sure that motorists will continue to be served by rest stops.
Shame on any vending operator that does not support their state association. All vending operators benefit from the work that their associations do, and all operators have an obligation to cover their share of the costs. 06-17-11 by Elliot Maras
