Amid a decline in overall chocolate consumption, Nestlé is focusing its attention on high-end chocolate, according to The Wall Street Journal. Consumers have been displaying a preference for premium chocolate, the source reports, and Nestlé is positioning its already existing brands as ‘high-end’ in certain markets. The company is even taking some local chocolate brands international, appealing to Millennials who have a desire for products with strong local stories, The Wall Street Journal reported. Earlier this year the company said it would invest $67.9 million to take its Italian chocolate brand Baci Perugina global. Additionally, Nestlé said it would bring its Turkish chocolate brand Damak to the U.S.
