Just Eat Takeaway.com will acquire Grubhub, forming the world's largest online food delivery company outside of China, the companies have announced. Just Eat Takeaway.com, which was founded in 2000, is an Amsterdam-based company that does business with over 155,000 connected restaurants, the press release noted. Amsterdam will remain the headquarters, with a North American headquarters in Chicago.

This acquisition occurred following a failed deal with Uber, as CNBC reports.
