Oklahoma City Turns To Healthy Vending

Oklahoma City has adopted a resolution to provide healthier options in vending machines, according to KOCO. In a video, nutritionist Petra Colindres and Liz Waggoner, with the American Heart Association, discuss with the news source the different types of options that will be introduced such as snacks with reduced fat, no trans fats, very limited saturated fats, reduced sugar and smaller portion sizes.

Colindres told the source, “Having healthier food choices has been shown to increase productivity, produce creativity and increase engagement at the workplace. The research is out there that the better you eat, the more productive that you are.”
