College Newspaper Provides Insight Into Millennials, Gen Z's Favorite Vending Snacks And Beverages

The Amherst Student, the student newspaper at Amherst College, recently published a list of the Top 10 vending machines on campus. 

The author of the article noted the locations and contents of the vending machines at the Amherst, Mass. college, giving fellow students tips on where to find good snack and beverage options, particularly when the campus dining services are closed. The article noted that Steve's Snacks provides and stocks the vending machines. 

The author hailed the "A grade vending machines" in the college's 24-hour Science Center study space as the best option on campus, noting that the machines offered "typical snacks" like chips, granola bars and Pop-Tarts along with premium items like Godiva chocolate. The author also praised the availability of "specialty items" including iced honey buns and energy drinks, along with ample beverage options like seltzers, coffee beverages and chocolate milk. Lastly, these vending machines offer healthy items such as lower calorie snacks and diet sodas. The author said that the Science Center's vending machines are located in the lower level, making them highly accessible for consumers, and accept cash, AC dollars (a campus debit system) and cards.
