Utah Bill Includes Sales Tax Increase On Vending Machines

St. George News reports that a recent tax bill passed by the Utah Legislature affects sales tax on vending machines. The bill includes an increase on sales tax on vending machines that use cashless payments including credit and debit cards.
The bill was passed during a special session on Dec. 12 and was signed by Gov. Gary Herbert on Dec. 19 and has resulted in opposition from grassroots organizations.
