Lavazza To Reportedly Close On Carte Noire Purchase This Month

Two sources close to the deal reportedly told Reuters that Italian coffee company Lavazza would finalize the purchase of French coffee brand Carte Noire this month, according to Reuters.  The deal, worth around $814 million, would make Lavazza the market leader for coffee in France.

In July 2015 Lavazza announced it made a binding offer to purchase Carte Noire from U.S.-based Mondelez International.
