Grindmaster-Cecilware Corp. (GMCW) has announced a transition in its leadership team, whereby Nestor Ibrahim has been elevated to the role of chief executive officer. Ibrahim was recruited by Michael Tinsley more than one year ago to assist him in the integration and consolidation of the business. Tinsley said in a prepared statement, “I have put together a solid management team, and a lot of the hard work associated with the integration of Grindmaster and Cecilware is behind us. We have a robust new product pipeline and have introduced a number of new products into the marketplace, with more to follow. In addition to recruiting Nestor, I recruited a number of senior management from within the industry. It seemed like a natural point in the evolution of the business for me to seek other challenges.”
Paul Echausse, chairman of GMCW said, “I want to thank Mike for the terrific job that he has done over the past two years in positioning the company for continued success. Mike recruited a terrific team, whom we have worked with for the past two years. We wish Mike well as he pursues other opportunities.”
Ibrahim is well known within the food and beverage equipment industry, with more than 25 years experience – most recently with The Middleby Corp. as president of its Southbend and Star Manufacturing Divisions. Ibrahim stated, “I want to thank Mike for the great job positioning the company for growth; recruiting me to the company and allowing for the smooth transition of leadership.”
GMCW is headquartered in Louisville, Ky., with locations in Illinois and Thailand. The company is owned and managed by BNY Mezzanine Partners, L.P.
