Lowell Shindler, founder of U.S. Coffee, Inc., in New York, passed away in May. He was 69. Lowell spent over 40 years in the industry, growing U.S. Coffee into one of the largest independent OCS, Vending, Water & Office Supply companies in the nation.

Mark Singer, a friend of Shindler, is running the 2012 NYC Marathon in his memory and raising money in his name.
