PepsiCo is now selling Gatorade that has been certified organic by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, according to Bloomberg. The company has launched strawberry, lemon and mixed berry G Organic versions in some Kroger supermarkets and plans to expand the rollout to other retail and c-store locations in the next few weeks.
Earlier this year the company announced it would introduce an organic version of Gatorade as part of a strategy to strengthen its portfolio of ‘healthier’ products, VendingMarketWatch.com reported.
G Organic has seven ingredients and is the first major sports drink aimed at pleasing customers who are searching for “fewer and more natural components,” Bloomberg wrote.
