Surge Soda Officially Returns To Store Shelves

One year after appearing for purchase online, the popular and previously discontinued Coca-Cola soda Surge was reintroduced to store shelves, reports TIME.

The soda, which was produced between 1996 and 2003, had a cult following and its resurgence was in large part due to a viral social media campaign created by fans.

In 2014 the drink was re-launched exclusively through Amazon.com for a limited time.

Beginning Sept. 7 Surge is being sold in select states.
