New York Mayor Pushes For Soda Regulation

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio and his administration are looking into different ways to regulate the size of sugary beverages, according to The Wall Street Journal. The mayor and his staff have been meeting with lobbyists, health advocates and members of the beverage industry, the source reports. The city’s 2012 sugary drink ban which sought to prohibit the sale of sugary beverages over 16 ounces at places such as restaurants and movie theaters was overturned by the courts. Full article.
