Beverage giant Coca-Cola will be integrating its loyalty platform into native services on Apple & Android Devices (i.e. Apple Wallet & Android Pay) that will let consumers earn loyalty/rewards points for free drinks and perks through its vending machines, according to Mobile Marketing Daily.
Derek Myers, Group Director, Channel Strategy and Commercialization, Coca-Cola North America told the crowd at the OMMA SXSW (South y Southwest) that the company would be able to use the loyalty program to identify the customer, what they purchased and where they made the purchase.
The app will also allow users to make cashless purchases with technology that is already available on the consumer’s smartphone.
