Canadian Vendors Struggle To Update Validators For Plastic $20 Bill

Canadian vendors are losing money as they try to quickly update their vending machine bill validators to accept the new $20 polymer bill, according to the Canadian Press. A spokesperson for the Canadian Automatic Merchandising Association believes less than half of the country's vending machines currently accept the new bill. He said the government did not give operators enough lead time to reprogram their validators for the non-paper bill. Full article.
