CORONA, Calif., Nov. 21, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Power Drop, in coordination with The-Venders successfully installed three of their state of the art Slimline vending machines within the Stonestown Galleria in San Francisco. This marks the first Power Drop installs in the Bay Area.
Power Drop partnered with Hayden Vending Inc. to install Power Drop one time phone charger vending machines at Stonestown and has plans to add an additional three to four locations over the next six months. Priced at $5.99, the single-use emergency phone chargers dispensed through the machines create a lifeline to the millions of smart phone users that find their devices running out of battery power.
"We are excited about solving the problem smart phone users face when running low on battery life and after substantial research we partnered with Power Drop and their unique solution set that delivers charging solutions to consumers in an efficient and cost effective manner" said, Doug Hayden, owner of Hayden Vending. "Our objective is to rapidly deploy our charging solutions throughout the Bay Area in order to solve this vexing problem."
Following this week, Power Drop units will be installed into The Shops at Tanforan in San Bruno, CA, with several other locations throughout the Bay Area set to follow. "We are excited to partner with Hayden Vending and to expand into the Bay Area where smart phone use is high and customers are fast to adopt new technologies such as ours" said Joe Menichiello, Managing Director for Power Drop. "Growing out the Bay Area has been a major goal of ours this year and to end the year with this aggressive roll out has been thrilling".
The San Francisco "tech" scene creates a perfect fit for the Power Drop unit. The Stonestown Galleria is considered one of the highest foot traffic centers in the entire Bay Area, servicing the West side of San Francisco with easy access to the Peninsula. Initial customers feedback has been very positive and already started a "buzz' about the new concept and love what it brings. The single-use charger is not only considered a great aid when battery power runs low, but it is also emerging as a necessity in any disaster or emergency.
