While Beetlejuice fans will have to wait until September 6 for the famously stripe-garbed Hollywood spirit — featured in Warner Bros.’ eponymously named movie —to return in a sequel, "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice," Keebler cookie fans can enjoy Beetlejuice-inspired treats while they wait.
In August, the limited-edition "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice" Dark Chocolate & Vanilla Fudge Stripes make their debut at retailers nationwide. Reportedly crafted by Ernie and the Elves in the Hollow Tree, Keebler's LTO cookie combines a dark chocolate shortbread cookie topped with vanilla-flavored fudge stripes that mimic Beetlejuice's iconic suit.
"We're thrilled to introduce this partnership to our classic Fudge Stripes portfolio, providing a fun take on the classic black-and-white-striped suit that Beetlejuice fans know and love," said Alicia Mosley, vice president of marketing for the Keebler brand.
In addition to the limited-edition cookies, Keebler has launched an Open for Magic digital hub with Beetlejuice-themed family-friendly content, games, and recipes inspired by the film. Families can access the site by scanning the QR code on the packaging.
