Valet Market, a new autonomous community market experience from Accel Robotics, is being positioned as an amenity for modern residential communities.
Residents of San Diego's Vantage Pointe, a luxury apartment complex and first home of a Valet Market, now receive deliveries straight to their door, day or night, with an average delivery time under 10 minutes.
Accel reported that the number of transactions at Valet Market have more than doubled and cart size has increased when compared to a traditional convenience store previously operating in the same space.
According to Accel, more than two thirds of the building's 679 units have downloaded the Valet Market app within the first two weeks of the market's opening, allowing the residents to shop and order necessities 24 hours a day.
In-store shoppers are conveniently accessing the everyday convenience items, and locally sourced produce, baked goods, coffee and dairy now made available through the shared pantry.
Accel Robotics is a startup for autonomous retail solutions powered by computer vision and artificial intelligence. Valet Market is one of its unattended retail formats, which span everything from walkup micro stores to full market build-outs.
