Oct. 13, 2016

Micro markets are enhancing the workplace breakroom and providing an opportunity for food and beverage companies to grow, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. The source recently published an article entitled, “Micromarkets replace break room vending machines” where it discussed the recent success that Menomonee Falls, WI-based Davians has had with the new micro market segment.

Davians currently services 45 micro markets throughout southern Wisconsin and has been able to be competitive by offering fresh food from its commissary and utilizing a research and development team.

And the micro market segment will only continue to grow across the country. Tim Taylor, chief executive officer for Davians, told the source he has seen projections indicating there may be 50,000 micro markets within the next five years.
