LTD Refreshments Inc. acquired Wicked Healthy Vending, a healthy vending company servicing Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire, on October 15. With the acquisition, LTD plans to expand its refreshment services offering with a new healthy vending division.
“We are proud to acquire WHV and the institutional knowledge supporting the healthier segment of our industry. We at LTD are committed to being the refreshments provider of choice for schools, gyms, YMCAs, and businesses that are focused on the well-being of others,” said Erich Markee, President of LTD. “This acquisition supports that mission, and we are excited about capitalizing on the knowledge acquired from Tina Paine, WHV’s founder and owner, and complementing LTD’s resources, processes, and larger service territory.”
According to a company statement, when considering the sale, Paine sought owners that would continue Wicked Healthy Vending’s focus of providing healthier options. She expressed confidence that Markee and co-owner Chris O’Neil would do so with their plans to expand their wellness service offering, reach a larger footprint, and provide upgraded technology.
“We find that customers really want healthier options, and we find that by bringing them in, their employees, their members and their guests are healthier and happier, and feel that you care about them,” Paine said while explaining the company’s healthy focus in a video on the company’s YouTube page from earlier this year.
Established in February 2019, LTD Refreshments, North Chelmsford, Mass., provides micro markets, vending, pantry, AI coolers and coffee throughout New England.
