Land O’Lakes Inc. sees foodservice rebound in Q1 report

For its first quarter in 2021, ended Mar. 31, Land O’Lakes Inc. reported net sales of $3.9 billion and net earnings of $136 million, compared with net sales of $3.8 billion and net earnings of $37 million in 2020.

The farmer-owned agribusiness giant said each of its business units increased net earnings, compared with the prior year.

“The operating environment and fundamentals are strong in each business segment,” said Land O’Lakes president and chief executive Beth Ford, who noted that a very strong rebound is underway for its Dairy Foods Foodservice segment.
