DoorDash is further expanding its service offerings beyond food delivery with the launch of DashMart, an online convenience store. In a Medium post, a DoorDash representative explained how the company partnered with convenience stores including 7-Eleven, CVS and Walgreens in April to offer household essentials to customers across the U.S. With DashMart, the company will directly offer customers thousands of convenience, grocery and restaurant items with delivery in 30 minutes or less.
DashMart is now available in eight cities including Chicago, Minneapolis, Dallas, Salt Lake City, Phoenix, Cincinnati, Columbus and Redwood City. The company plans to launch in other cities across the country this year.
In addition to providing convenience to customers, DoorDash offers a new channel for local businesses through DashMart, giving merchant partners a new way to sell retail products.
