Moxie, a long-time beverage company out of Maine, will be bought by Coca-Cola of Northern New England, according to Reuters. Although the financials have not yet been released, the acquisition will close by the end of the fourth quarter 2018.
Moxie was created two years before Coca-Cola, in 1884. According to Lauren Thompson, a spokeswoman for Coca-Cola, the distribution of Moxie will not change. It will become part of Coke’s venturing and emerging brands.
