Boyd Coffee Co. is closing its operations after 118 years in Portland, OR, according to Oregon Live/Oregonian. It will also be shuttering operations in Eugene. A total of 135 people will be laid off in Oregon, as well as 95 elsewhere. Last year Boyd was bought by coffee roaster Farmer Bros. According to the source, Boyd's vice president Ann Nordquist said that operations would be moving predominantly to Texas, and that layoffs would be complete by October 1, 2018.
