July 18, 2017

Sugar is in the cross hairs, according to an article on Beveragedaily.com. It sites Mintel research that says 84 percent of consumers are looking to reduce sugar in their diets, with Millennials citing even more reasons to do so than older consumers. The top reasons are weight management and future health. The research found that those avoiding sugar are also likely to avoid artificial sweeteners.

The article recommends offering items with varying sugar or sweetness levels in order to appeal to this changing consumer preference.
