Kansas Man Arrested In Vending Machine Thefts

The Chanute Tribune reports that Bradley Davis is charged with thefts from three separate vending machines in Chanute, KS, from June 13 and June 14. The alleged thefts total less than $1,500. According to the article, the crime is a severity level 9 nonperson felony, carrying a sentence of 6 months probation to 16 months in prison. Typically, thefts of less than $1,500 in value are misdemeanors, but multiple thefts committed within a short period of time can be charged as a felony. Davis also faces several drug possession charges.
