June 13, 2016

(CHICAGO) JUNE 10, 2016 – NAMA’s Government Affairs Team announced today that the upcoming DC Fly-In will offer an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the U.S. Capitol building as part of the 2016 Fly-In, scheduled to follow the dinner event Tuesday, July 12.

Two former U.S. Congressmen will lead the private tour, available to attendees at the cost of $25 per person.

“Have you ever wondered why it took 40 years to build the original building?  What famous and crucial incidents that have taken place inside the Capitol?  With thanks to tour sponsor companies, Dr. Pepper Snapple Group; Continental Vending and Vistar, our team is so excited to offer this  opportunity for our members as part of the 2016 Fly-In,” said Eric Dell, SVP of NAMA’s Government Affairs Division.

“The tour of the U.S. Capitol building is sure to be a “big hit” as part of this year’s DC Fly-In,” said Jeff Smith, Chair of NAMA’s Government Affairs Committee. “It’s educational, informative and will provide attendees an inside look on one of our nation’s most iconic structures,” he continued.

“The tour of the Capitol building will add further value to the Fly-In,” said Eric Dell, NAMA SVP of Government Affairs. “Our goal is to deliver a well-rounded experience for attendees, one that will both get them engaged with their elected officials and will provide the opportunity to see government from behind the scenes,” he concluded.
