Retro Vending Machine In Michigan Dispenses Pieces Of Art

May 5, 2016

The movement of converting vending machines to art dispensers continues. An old cigarette vending machine has been rehabbed to dispense artwork, from jewelry to paintings, in the Downriver Council for the Arts in Wyandotte, MI, reports WILX.com. There are just five machines similar to this in Michigan, the source reports. The one-of-a-kind artwork sells for $5.

Editor’s note: This reminds me of the souvenir vending machines we reported about earlier in the week. The popularity, and expansion of this type of idea speaks to the change in the consumer and how they view vending machines as well as the type of shopping experience they desire.
