Unified Strategies Group (USG) Publishes Comprehensive Micro Market Merchandising Roadmap

Unified Strategies Group (USG) has published a comprehensive Micro Market Merchandising Roadmap for the USG membership. 

This project has been in the works for about nine months and is based on USG micro market data and a thorough analysis of the data by seven USG supplier partners. 

Comparative studies were done using data from other retail segments such as convenience and drug stores.  The USG Roadmap lays out a basic plan for the general micro market layout, specific beverage plan-o-grams based on beverage cooler ownership, cold and frozen food recommendations and specific product recommendations for various snack categories. 

USG used a standard retail approach for this project using seven manufacturers as “category captains” for one or more categories. 

The Micro Market Merchandising Roadmap is exclusively available to USG members via the USG website www.usgvend.com and then clicking on the Sales, Training & Merchandising tile.  USG plans to continue doing testing of various merchandising concepts via their network of nearly 5,000 connected micro market kiosks.  The USG recommendations are designed for a “generic kiosk” and can be employed by members using any of the kiosks available to the industry today.
