Lindsey Nelson, NAMA Foundation’s Executive Director, Named Association Forum’s 40 Under 40

(CHICAGO) -- December 19, 2014 – Lindsey Nelson was recognized as a Forty Under 40 Award honoree this week by The Association Forum of Chicagoland and USAE weekly newspaper at their annual industry Holiday Showcase.

“We congratulate Lindsey on this well-deserved honor and are thrilled she is part of our NAMA team.  In her role as Executive Director of the NAMA Foundation, she helped lead the successful multi-year Positioning for Growth campaign which raised more than $5 million for industry advocacy, education and research.  Overall, with her passion for process improvement and outcomes-driven performance, Lindsey adds measurable, meaningful value benefitting our members and industry,” said Carla Balakgie, NAMA President and CEO.

Lindsey has eight years of association management experience, including roles of increasing responsibility in exhibit sales, operations and business development.   Currently, she is pursuing her Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential.  Lindsey began her career in pharmaceutical sales with Johnson & Johnson and holds a degree in Communications Studies from Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame, Indiana.

The Forty Under 40® Awards recognizes 40 up-and-coming association or nonprofit professionals who are under the age of 40, demonstrate high potential for success in leadership roles and exhibit a strong commitment to the association management profession.
