Social Media-Activated Vending Machines Award Red Sox Fans

Red Sox fans were treated to a surprise last week when two social media-activated, Red Sox-themed vending machines were set up around Boston, MA, according to Boston Magazine. At one machine located at Faneuil Hall, the user was prompted to take a photo near the machine and share it on Instagram with the hashtag #TheGiftofSox. The machine then dispensed free items including Red Sox merchandise and tickets. The vending machines were part of a campaign announcing single-game ticket availability for the 2015 season.
