Indiana University To Pilot Ten Healthy Vending Machines

Healthy IU, the wellness program at Indiana University located in Bloomington, IN, will install ten vending machines with healthy items by November, according to Indiana Daily Student. Students and faculty will have the opportunity to try potential healthy vending items through an event called Taste and Tell. Snacks that meet the healthy snack nutrition guidelines will have 250 calories or less, 250 milligrams of sodium or less and no trans fat. The installation of healthy vending items comes as part of an initiative to make healthy food more available on the university’s campus. Full article.
