NAMA announced the creation of a new online resource to educate members on how they can give back in a way that will leave a lasting legacy for future generations of industry leaders.
The new Website, www.vending.org/leavealegacy, is a comprehensive resource for gift planning questions and exploring tax and income benefits of the various kinds of planned gifts, including:
- Trusts and annuities that pay the member an income for life
- Gifts from life insurance policies, retirement plan assets or appreciated property
- Bequests and beneficiary designations
The Website also provides tips on establishing a will that ensures that the government does not benefit more than the member’s heirs, as well as a glossary of planned giving terms and a gift illustrator that helps members explore their donation options.
“We are pleased to roll out this new resource for the NAMA membership,” said Foundation Executive Director Lindsey Nelson, in a prepared statement. “Not only does it offer sound guidance on planning for the future, it provides them with a way to leave a lasting legacy for the next generation, which we know is a priority for many in our industry.”
