The Amusement and Music Owners Association of New York Inc., a nonprofit, is reviving its annual awards dinner with a tribute to coin-op veteran Chris Brady, vice president of sales of LAI Games.
The industry marketing icon began his industry career in his twenties as an employee of Valley-Dynamo (then Dynamo Ltd.), a maker of billiard, air and soccer table games. Valley-Dynamo and LAI Games are the only two companies for which Brady had worked.
“AMOA-NY’s 2022 award is a true honor to be recognized by the customers we serve,” Brady said. “AMOA-NY has navigated through challenging times. The annual gala on April 25 will be a demonstration of support for the operator and a celebration of the importance of their strength, and vitality to our industry.”
Additionally, the association is expected to honor a popular music artist with its Jukebox Artist of the Year award. Previous winners were Tommy James and The Shondells (2019); The Ramones (2018); B.J. Thomas (2017); and Tony Orlando (2016). Before them, winners included The Stylistics, Judy Collins, Dionne Warwick and Peter Yarrow of Peter, Paul & Mary. The identity of this year’s jukebox honoree is being kept secret prior to the event.
