The National Automatic Merchandising Association has developed a new program for vending and coffee service operators to foster peer-to-peer learning in a small group atmosphere. NAMA’s Special Interest Groups, or SIGs, are member-led groups organized around areas of interest.
The association is hosting its first SIG roundtable meetings – titled SIG-A-Palooza – virtually on Tuesday, Dec. 14, at 2 p.m. ET. NAMA member operators can register here or email [email protected] for more information.
Operators and their department heads can join one of three groups: human resources, hiring and employee retention; purchasing and warehouse management; and technical service. Participants will be placed into noncompetitive groups based on geography.
“SIG is something that the NAMA board has been exploring for a few years in its effort to be more impactful to the operating community,” said board member Scott Halloran of Richmond, VA’s Trolley House Refreshments. “We’re trying to create networking and learning opportunities for operators across organizations and state lines.”
