May 6, 2020

CHICAGO, IL – MAY 5, 2020 – Following outreach to the nation’s governors to keep break rooms safe and open, NAMA announces the availability of new guidelines, including checklists, for operators. Designed to take the guesswork out of tasks required for returning to full operations in a safe, effective manner, these guidelines are available at no cost on the NAMA website.

Led by NAMA and a task force of industry experts, these guidelines provide channel-specific action items. Taskforce members include:

  • Jeff Deitchler, PrairieFire Coffee Roasters
  • Steve Foley, Foley FoodService
  • Linda Furlano, A.H. Management
  • Scott Halloran, Trolley House Refreshments
  • Dick Hanson, Buffalo Rock
  • Josh Rosenberg, PLNTSOP
  • Greg Sidwell, G&J Marketing
  • Tom Steuber, Associated Services

“The overarching goal of the Taskforce was to provide counsel to help operators restore their businesses successfully,” said NAMA CEO Carla Balakgie.

“This effort is a continuation of NAMA’s ‘Listening & Leading’ initiative to arm member companies with the business resources they need to face challenges brought forth by COVID-19. Moving ahead, NAMA will roll out additional tools, including legal counsel, marketing materials and communications directed at customers,” she continued.

“We’re pulling all levers to ensure the industry, in its’ entirety, has the critical knowledge needed to get back to business. It goes without saying that we’re thankful for the support from convenience services experts to share their insight with their peers.”
