Kristen Keenan Joins NAMA As Director, Meetings & Events

CHICAGO – March 21, 2019 – Today, NAMA announced that Kristen Keenan, CMP, has joined the association as Director, Meetings & Events.
“With nearly fourteen years of industry experience, coupled with her leadership and expertise, Kristen will add an exciting new dimension to NAMA’s programs and services department,” said NAMA Vice President of Programs & Services Lindsey Nelson. “Kristen’s contributions to the industry are already underway and we look forward to introducing Kristen to members at The NAMA Show in April.”
Kristen’s responsibilities will include leading the planning and successful execution of NAMA events, including The NAMA Show; Coffee, Tea & Water and NAMA’s Executive Forum.
For the past six years, Kristen served as Vice President, Industry Outreach & Engagement at Independent Electrical Contractors (IEC). In this role, she orchestrated all pre-event, meeting and tradeshow planning initiatives including the Annual Convention & Trade Show, Business Summit, and an Annual Board Retreat. Previous to that role, Kristen was the Account Manager at J. Spargo & Associates, an event management firm.
A 2004 graduate of Mount Saint Mary’s College, Kristen is a member of the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) and serves as a committee member on the Professional Development Committee. Kristen received her Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation in 2011.
