General Mills, headquartered in Minnesota, is eliminating 600 jobs in global restructuring, according to the Star Tribune. Jobs in the U.S. will be lost, possibly in the company’s headquarters. Since 2014, General Mills has cut or has announced plans to cut around 5,000 jobs, the source reports.
The company announced last week that it would eliminate the position of International Chief Operating Officer as well.
The move comes as the company seeks to achieve growth through improved sales and trimming costs.
