Co-founder Of Bike Vending Machine Company Killed In Hit-And-Run

Matthew Von Ohlen, co-founder of bike part/repair vending machine company Bikestock, was killed riding his bicycle in Brooklyn, NY, this weekend. Von Ohlen founded Bikestock in 2013 with friend Joseph Huba, according to GrindTV. Bikestock provides support for urban cyclists through a network of vending machines, toolkits, and cycling products. 

According to the company’s website, Minneapolis native Von Ohlen lived and breathed cycling. Von Ohlen was inspired to start Bikestock when he got a flat tire riding home under the Manhattan bridge several years ago, according to PSFK.

Bikestock vending machines are located in Boston, MA and New York, NY.
