June 5, 2013

Recently, Jerry Moran, U.S. Senator for Kansas, visited Treat America’s facility in Lenexa, Kan.

“It’s always good to visit thriving Kansas businesses like Treat America Food Services and learn more about their operations,” Sen. Moran said in a prepared statement. “Established 20 years ago with only eight employees, Treat America now boasts 1,200 and leads the food services industry in developing innovative technologies focused on consumer demand and healthy options. During the tour, Treat America President and NAMA Board Member John Mitchell, Jr. and I had the opportunity to discuss issues affecting the industry and how the association is working to address them.”

John Mitchell, Jr., NCE, a member of the board of directors of NAMA and chair of the government affairs committee, is the second generation of his family to operate Treat America, Ltd., which provides full service vending and office coffee programs in Kansas City, Mo.; St. Louis, Mo.; Indianapolis, Ind.; Omaha, Neb. and Des Moines, Iowa.
