Canteen Vending Services Inc. has acquired the assets of Custom Vending Co. Inc. in Beltsville, Md. for an undisclosed sum, according to Dominic Finelli, vice president and a partner in Custom Vending Co.
Custom Vending Co. was one of the largest independent vending companies in the Washington, D.C./Baltimore, Md. market.
Finelli and his partner, John Sartori, bought the company in 1992 from Sartori’s father, Sam Sartori, who founded the company in 1967. John Sartori has served as president of the company.
An article in VendingMarketWatch in 2007 reported that the company served more than 1,200 accounts in the Washington, D.C. and Baltimore markets.
Finelli is a former president of the Maryland/D.C. Vending Association and the current chairman of its legislative committee.
