NAMA announced that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has granted its request to include convenience services employees under Phase 1b of its COVID-19 Vaccination Program Interim Playbook for Jurisdiction Operations. The program provides guidance to states on how vaccines should be distributed.
Each state has been tasked with developing its own vaccine deployment plan, NAMA said, but many have followed the CDC interim playbook and have moved into Phase 1b this week.
NAMA has compiled resources to assist operators in being prepared for when industry is able to be vaccinated in their states. The resources include a COVID vaccine deployment tracker and a sample vaccination eligibility letter for operators, route drivers and warehouse workers, among other employees, to have on hand when visiting a vaccination site.
Proof of eligibility documents include:
Sample Vaccination Eligibility Letter (edit and print on your company letterhead)
NAMA’s Critical Infrastructure Operator Certification Letter
DHS Memorandum Deeming the Industry as Essential
NAMA Government Affairs will be focusing on the COVID-19 vaccine rollout and resources, government assistance programs, important federal and state legislative priorities and more during its upcoming webcast on Thursday, Jan 21 at 2 p.m. EST. Register here
