Marco Beverage Systems promotes Paul Stack to managing director

Feb. 10, 2021

Marco Beverage Systems said it is advancing Paul Stack to managing director. Stack succeeds Drewry Pearson, who held the top post for more than 25 years and becomes executive chairman. The transition is a key part of the MBS’s next-stage development plan, which includes sustainable business initiatives, the company said.

Stack previously served as MBS’s operations director. He’s been at the forefront of the company’s specialty coffee initiatives for more than 15 years. As a past president of the Specialty Coffee Association, Stack is an ardent believer in industry education, training and community. He has overseen the development of MBS’s award-winning, energy-efficient and stylish coffee and water systems.

Stack is also known as a champion of “design thinking,” which MBS describes as a customer-centric process that places emphasis on user needs and innovation. This process has influenced the design of such MBS products as the Marco MIX, Marco FRIIA and new hands-free Marco FRIIA.

Under Stack’s leadership, MBS also has adopted LEAN principles to drive efficiency across all operations.

"Paul’s appointment as managing director formally recognizes the role that he has been successfully performing for the past number of years,” Drewry said. “I have every confidence that [he] will continue to drive growth and success at Marco and wish him the very best.”

Marco Beverage Systems designs, manufactures and sells water systems and coffee brewers, including new touchless products. It has offices in United Kingdom, Europe, China, the Middle East and U.S. (Seattle).
