There’s even more reason to enjoy a cup of tea. A study presented at the American Heart Association’s Epidemiology/Lifestyle 2015 Science Sessions found that drinking tea is associated with decreased coronary artery progression and a lower incidence of major cardiovascular events like heart attacks.
Researchers divided the subjects into those who never drank tea; less than one cup per day; one cup per day consumers; two and three cup drinkers; and 4+ cups per day consumers.
Researchers in the study found that adults who drank one and two to three cups of tea daily had better coronary calcium scores than those who did not drink tea. Read the full findings here.
