Owner Of Coffee Enterprises Will Be Opening Keynote Speaker At NAMA’s CTW Show In Dallas
(CHICAGO) August 11, 2014 – Dan Cox, Owner and President of Coffee Enterprises, will be the opening keynote speaker at the NAMA CoffeeTea&Water (CTW) show, announced Dean Gilland, NAMA’s Vice President of Sales and CTW. Mr. Cox’s speech will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 11 at 4:00pm at the Hyatt Regency Dallas.
“We are excited to have Dan join us for CTW this year. He is an internationally recognized coffee expert and a leading authority on consumer trends, marketing, product handling and coffee legal matters,” Gilland said. “Dan’s speech, titled How Hot Is Your Coffee Business?, will focus on coffee quality, sustainability, commodity markets, single cup trends and business tools.”
”The goal is for attendees to leave with a greater understanding of current issues facing the coffee industry, as well as a broader scope of knowledge on coffee products and the sourcing and sales of those products, to help increase revenue and profit,” Gilland continued.
Mr. Cox has worked in the coffee industry for more than 30 years, holding positions in virtually every aspect of the trade, from roaster to sales rep to executive. He established Coffee Enterprises in 1992, and in1994 he established Coffee Analysts, the largest independent coffee laboratory in North America, to conduct scientific testing of green and roasted coffee. In addition, Dan has held board roles in numerous coffee organizations, has been a featured speaker and industry insider to the media, nationally and internationally, and has led coffee tours abroad. In 1996 he co-founded Grounds for Health, a non-profit organization that provides health services for women in coffee producing regions. Dan became the second American to pass the arduous Q Grader exam in 2007, and received the Specialty Coffee Association of America’s Lifetime Achievement Award in 2012.
