Recently Starbucks Corp. announced its new premium coffee, Gesha Tree, which costs consumers $7 for a 16-ounce cup, according to MarketWatch. While made from hard to grow coffee, one coffee shop owner speculated the cost should be closer to $3, at least in New York. The owner claimed an 80 percent markup is not unusual for premium coffees.
