Study: Coffee Drinkers May Live Longer

Sept. 29, 2017

Science Daily reports that a study from the European Society of Cardiology found that higher coffee consumption is associated with a lower risk of early death. The observational study involved about 20,000 participants and suggests that coffee can be part of a healthy diet in healthy people. Researchers found that participants who consumed at least four cups of coffee per day had a 64 percent lower risk of all-cause mortality than those who never or almost never consumed coffee and there was a 22 percent lower risk of all-cause mortality for each two additional cups of coffee per day.
