PepsiCo opens new distribution center in Tennessee

A new warehouse and distribution center opened by PepsiCo Beverages North America is the company’s largest in the Southeast and second largest nationwide.
A new warehouse and distribution center opened by PepsiCo Beverages North America is the company’s largest in the Southeast and second largest nationwide. The company relocated from a downtown Nashville distribution warehouse to a nearly 400,000 ft2 in Smyrna, Tenn. The new warehouse includes open office spaces, enhanced safety technology and a climate-controlled warehouse. The certified LEED Silver facility also includes sustainability improvements such as all-electric warehousing equipment.
The facility can distribute 20 million cases of PepsiCo beverages annually, including Pepsi, Mountain Dew, bubly, Gatorade, and Rockstar, and serves 14 counties in the Nashville metropolitan area.
The grand opening was celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by PBNA employees along with Shane Reeves, a state senator, and Mayor Mary Esther Reed of Smyrna.
